The Park, Chennai – An Urban Haven

The Park in Chennai is located on Anna Salai in the heart of the business district of Tamil Nadu's vibrant capital. Hirsch Bedner Associates, Los Angeles have designed this hotel. This elegant and luxurious 214-room hotel stands on the historic premises of the erstwhile Gemini Film Studios. The precincts that created larger than life heroes and heroines since the 1940s have now been transformed to house the theatre of life in its private and public spaces. The hotel creates a unique story of textures, surfaces, shadow and light inspired by film and performance in its various forms.  

 In the rooms of this urban haven the colours are muted, the mood is calm, the feeling, utterly peaceful. Contemporary décor and rich textures create the perfect backdrop for your dramas. Pale beech wood flooring and frosted glass weave translucent dreams. Coconut shell inlay tables, parchment lights and the colourful hues of the grass chatais subtitle the regional location.

 The Residence

The 43 rooms on the 6th & 7h floor reflect colors that are warm and vibrant. A premium collection of contemporary art in canvas, prints, glass, tapestry and ceramics are highlights of the interiors.

The Residence floors are targeted for the executive on the fast lane as it provides express check in / check out facilities and state of the art technologies with boardroom facilities. The experience begins with the complimentary airport pick in a luxurious car and en route check-in. All the residence rooms are equipped with DVD players and a wide selection of movies. Special bath menus are also offered to The Residence guests. The residents on this floor are also the privileged users of The Residence Lounge a delightful modernist space that features a 42” plasma screen and International publications to browse and relax

 601, our all hours dining restaurant is our tribute to the historic location. Authentic Italian and International classics and an exclusive Wine room are its highlights. The Leather Bar and its intimate spaces invite you to lounge in luxury while imbibing divine spirits from our skilled bartenders. Lotus - A luxurious silk-enrobed room reminiscent of the rich colors of monk’s robes is an elegant setting for the modern Thai restaurant.   Pasha invites you to recline into the low divan-styled seating areas and ease into silky cushions in myriad colors. Aqua - the Rooftop café on the 8th floor with its spectacular view and World cuisine is a perfect place to unwind.

The Banquet halls Specializing in boutique banqueting, the three conference hall, The Sansara Hall, The Chandra Room and The Surya Room casts its spell in rich silk and polished wood. All the halls are situated a floor lower to the lobby and is accessed through a Grand Stairway across a cascade of waterfalls. The banquets play host to the most talked about events in the city. 

 The Screening Room is a luxurious private theatre, which offers sneak previews of modern day cinema for the in house guests. An exclusive space for close gatherings or meetings for 30 people. It is situated on the third floor.

 Aura Situated on the 9th floor overlooking the city skyline is our new the luxury day Spa. Step into the nine sanctuaries of Aura, each in a stunning jewel tone inspired by Navaratna gems — Ocean blue sapphire, sea green emerald, elegant pearl, dazzling diamond and blood red ruby exude their own sensations and have their own healing environments.
